If you were to visit only one monument in Lannion, it should be the church of Brélévenez which offers a breathtaking view overlooking the whole city, from the top of its 140 steps.
Only one kilometer north of the city center and accessible on foot, the Brélévenez district is home to this 12th century church. At the bottom of the steps lies the magnificent Mathurin cross, erected in the 16th century in homage to the monks who had freed sailors taken as slaves by pirates.
Inside the church, appreciate the gothic style arches, the aisles with their original vaults and the baroque style altar.
